NAEYC, DEC

To develop relationships of nutual trust and create partnerships with the families we serve.
We shall involve the family in significant decisions affecting their child.
We shall honor and respect the diverse backgrounds of our colleagues including such diverse characteristics as sexual orientation, race, national origin, religious beliefs, or other affiliations.

I chose these three ideals because I believe these are some of the important guidelines. Developing a relationship of trust and creating partnerships are very important to families. I want people to be able to trust that I can help them and give them the right information. Families should be involved in everything a child does. Children need to be guided, encouraged, and supported by family. By being involved with the significant decisions making of your child your will be helping your child. I understand that everyone is not like me but if Ii want to help my comminty I have to undertand different races, and religious beliefs.

Early childhood educators need to be understanding. Each family is unique and wants to heard. Families need to be able to trust the individuals working with their children. We have an awesome responsiblity to provide safe environment where they have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
